Atari Secures Rights to Multiple Ubisoft Titles

In a significant move for the gaming industry, Atari has announced the acquisition of intellectual property rights for five notable titles previously owned by Ubisoft. This transaction includes the games Cold Fear (2005), I Am Alive (2012), Child of Eden (2011), Grow Home (2015), and Grow Up (2016). Atari aims to bring these classic games to new platforms, revitalizing their presence in the gaming market.

Deborah Papiernik, Vice President of New Business at Atari, expressed enthusiasm about the acquisition, stating, “Millions of players have experienced these worlds over the years, and this will open the door for long-time players to revisit those memories while inviting new audiences to discover them for the first time.” She highlighted Atari’s rich history in gaming and its commitment to evolving these classic titles to engage both existing fans and newcomers alike.

Atari plans to release these games under its publishing label, with potential for enhancements through updated formats, additional content, and broader distribution channels.
